1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1 egg

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, eggs and vanilla.
In another bowl, combine the flour,Baking soda and cream of tartar, gradually into the cream mix.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Make the dough into 1-inch balls, roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart onto baking paper type sheet. Bake are lightly browned for 10 to 12 minutes or until it. Allow to cool.
